Happy New Year's!

yes, it's new year's eve; i would like to post happy new year's the minute the clock strikes 12... meaning everything would have to be typed out and waiting beforehand, and no error would occur. but i won't be here at 12am to set out fireworks and rock out to music and blow those little whistle tube things with the rolly paper that inflates when you blow and rolls out flat. so, happy new year's!
what's your favorite thing about new year's? is it the fact that it sort of, "finishes" the end of all the holidays in december and the christmas parties, and "starts" the parties for the new year! it's all very exciting :).
let's see... i'm really blank on blogging, to be honest. i once asked my dad what would happen if all our relatives came and visited us, which led to me asking where they would sleep, and he said the floor. which then i imagined opening the door when i woke up some morning and seeing sleeping bags covering the hallways. which then my dad said, of course they wouldn't sleep in the hallways. interesting right? you are admitting it in your head. i just wish i could read minds.
do they give new year's presents? nope, unless it's chinese new year, which then they give red packets with (i was about to say candy) money in them. on new year's you just attend parties and stay up all night and watch the clock and when the second hand makes the minute hand tick to 12, you go all crazy. or you could just stay up all night talking to a friend and scream in their ear when it's midnight.
i think i'm repeating myself :). you know a good option instead of drinking? punch with sprite in it. and those varied canned fruits ;). it's delicious and you may feel like you're drinking... punch!
okay i'm going to go eat cheesecake now. and update my facebook status saying happy new year!
i love you and happy new year's!

Merry Christmas!

i seriously need to blog more! merry christmas you guys!

i'm dreamin' of a white christmas... and it was snowing pretty hard christmas morning! very beautiful and very perfect ;). of course, adults hate the snow since it makes driving very difficult... i think my dad is a getting-stuck-on-ice magnet. he's gotten stuck at least seven times, nearly once every day. he says he's starting to be afraid of the ice ;). way to go, dad. we always end up backing up... haha :). or getting pushed my friendly neighbors. and not pushed by not so friendly neighbors. but anyhow! it's christmas!
who here still believes in santa? guess what? good for you! i'm very proud of you! did anybody leave him cookies and milk? one of my favorite things about christmas is watching all the christmas comedies where there's a santa claus who can't attend christmas and someone else has to do it for him. i saw mommy kissing santa claus, single santa meets santa claus, and the santa claus and the santa claus 2 are just a few that i've seen recently that i remember seeing, haha. i actually just watched single santa meets santa claus today on i think it was... hallmark hall of fame where they premiere movies sometimes and show movies. i was just flipping through tv channels and started watching the movie, and i didn't even know what it was called. then i lost the channel so i didn't know what to go back to. the worst thing? they have the longest commercials. i went through the channels six times looking!
but anyhow, it was a very wonderful christmas of 2008! i think we're all old enough by now to remember every single detail... and relive it when we somehow can't participate in a christmas in the future, which i hope is NEVER!
you know i bet if you ask people what their favorite holiday is, they will most likely say christmas ;). but even if they don't... it doesn't matter what other people think. YOU are the one who is enjoying YOUR christmas so go out christmas night and take a bazillion pictures in the snow, with friends or without.
eggnog in hand or not... merry christmas. :)

Snow :)

it's so pretty! we got around 4-5 inches, i was hoping for 6. what's really fun is stepping into those huge snow piles at the side of the roads that the road-cleaners (arrgh they almost made the district NOT cancel school!) push to the side so that we can get up huge hills and into our neighborhoods. ah ha! you sink in them and get your jeans wet! haha, great fun.
i've been sledding almost two days straight. i've watched two movies in the past two days (record, i tell you! record!) too. wall-e and the tuxedo are pretty funny movies! make sure you watch them with friends for 10x the fun. good times, good times.
i had the BEST hot cocoa today! it was so good i almost melted in it! :). it didn't have marshmallows in it, though. oh well! it was still delicious. my nose felt frozen. and my fingertips felt frozen. and i felt frozen like a popsicle... in winter? heck yeah. it was 29 out today, it's supposed to be the coldest tomorrow! i think tuesday tied the record for coldest temperature. friday's low is 20. anyway enough for the forecast.
school's been closed two days straight! tomorrow makes the third! they (the school district) put it on their website today that school was cancelled tomorrow! *happy dances*
i'm still doing my snow dance. *snow dances* i want even more snow and even more fun.
about that story: my brother and i used to be a little paranoid on how beautiful the snow looks - ocd much?! - so we hated to step in it and ruin it, so we wouldn't play in it on our yard. and we'd walk in one step of foot prints. and etc, etc. then we started playing in the backyard only, where nobody could see. haha, now it's all good. that's a little on jennifer's interesting past. haha.
hmm, oh i know what to close this post with! we came home tonight at around 9:45pm-ish? and there were these car tracks on top of our lawn. like on top of the snow and you could see the tire marks, only you know how cars make two sets of tracks? because like there are four wheels usually, etc, etc, etc? yeah anyway, the second set of tracks just... stopped. like halfway. which is really weird, like they fell off or something. and then the whole of the car tracks just stopped halfway into our lawn, and then there were a bunch of footprints. like, um, what?!
but yeah. :D. ily! i'm going to bed and sweet dreams and go play in the snow tomorrow!
JENNIFER TELLS YOU TO ENJOY IT!
LOVE LOVE LOVE, ME.

Forecasts Were Right!

hey people!
life's great, and did anybody catch those few flakes of snow earlier that didn't stick? it still means that the forecasts were right, though! even though they didn't stick, -.-. oh well... better luck tonight? tomorrow? how happy will you be if you wake up in the morning and see that the outside world consisiting of your lawn and driveway and car is all covered in a white blanket of snow?
remind me, i have to tell a story of what my brother and i used to do when there was snow >.<, haha. one of the most annoying things about snow is that sometimes it snows at say, 33 degrees farenheit, except it turns to rain when it hits the ground. so it's all slushy and doesn't stick, only it does stick on the lawn (hence, part of your outside world) and not your driveway (hence, another part of your outside world) so it's just half and half (like cream :P) and it just annoys me because why can't it stick on the pavement!! what, be this a conspiracy, ladies and gentlmen?!
haha.
well it's 34 degrees out. i'd love to see you all in your winter coats, boots, colorful beanie hats with a pom pom on the top, gloves that go on sale at fred meyer, big smiles. big, big, big smiles! that calls for a camera... if i can hold it and press the little button without dropping it in this cold!
forecasts say it should go down to 19 or 20 degrees tonight (don't ask why i put 19 or 20, i know it's basically the same thing!), and the forecasts were right for the weekend, even if they changed it to instead of it snowing friday night, to saturday night (phew, long sentence)...
so sleep tight, stay warm, and have a mug of hot chocolate with marshmallows in the morning!
sweet dreams, happy holidays, and i love you all!

The Lines that Made My Day

it sometimes feels as if i do as she wishes but not for myself, although it is really for me but she is merely my drive, that motivation that i have always needed but been too afraid to look for.

THANK YOU!

twilight, taylor, and um... tea? on the first half of elaine and carol's THANK YOU.

... and THANK YOU for getting the crystal earring/j pendant set! that was really cute! also THANK YOU to some friends i already mentioned in previous posts - janet for her santa hat, jamie for her cute shirt, vivian for the american eagle shopping trip and spending so much time with me (i honestly love that girl she is the best!), tiffany for giving me chocolate or candy or cake or brownies or cookies every time i see her (haha, trying to fatten me up tiff?!) and putting up with me not feeling like talking to her so not answering her emails and stuff like that ;), and THANK YOU to many other friends, the geniouses behind the sleepovers in planning, the movies talked over millions of times, the actors/actresses/celebrities gossipped over about, the to-die-for guys gushed over about, boring and exciting books read and re-read and read again, the numerous jokes played, the chat histories filled up page after page, the 100 emails sent (that i still need to reply to), the ugh-i-forgot-to-bring-this supplies lent a billion times, the prayers, the heartfelt messages, the laughter. and THANK YOU for being there for me. i'm 13, and i love you all!
love, love, love,
jennifer! xoxo.

Twilight, Taylor, and um... Tea?

hey guys, so yeah, i haven't blogged in a week or so. i've been really stressed out with homework and everything which is also why i'm staying up so late. i wonder how i'm going to look and feel tomorrow - i mean, in the morning.
anyway i'm sitting here typing a few updates that've happened. first, for my birthday, i went to see twilight with four other friends on the 30th of november. it was great. they left out half the book but hey, it was pretty good. it seemed really short though, but it was two hours long >.<. maybe i'll write a review on it, if i get the time. i also haven't really felt like blogging for the past week either.
elaine and carol! i love you guys. THANK YOU for getting me taylor's fearless CD (released november 11th)! i love it so much! i think the best thing about fearless is the CD cover/booklet with the lyrics. all the lyrics are in lower case except some letters here and there, which are capitalized. if you take all the capitalized letters in a song and put them together, they spell a message! i had fun sitting on my bed in my pajamas listening to her CD song by song as i figured out her little "code". :)!
next post on: thank yous even after - especially after thanksgiving!
oh, and the tea. let's just say tea=water, you need aprox 8 cups of water per day (well now they're saying less because all that water may not be good for you, pssh), so that's what my dad drinks. i had it for a week when i was sick and everything that went in my mouth tasted like tea and it was gross. i don't really drink it at all anymore, just a few sips. my brother and i let out a bunch of jokes teasing my dad about his tea-drinking habits.
more on twilight: "bella's lullaby" or really the unnamed lullaby or piece played in the movie in the huge room on edward's piano, where edward (robert pattinson aka rpatz) plays and bella (kristen stewart) watches next to him on the piano bench. the lullaby was composed by carter burwell and it's supposed to be about a tormented love - hmm, vampire and human? see. it fits. it's beautiful! i found the sheet music and i'm learning it. it makes my left hand ache because i never used to be able to stretch 8 in 2nd grade, but now i can stretch 9 (keys, btw), but i just can't really stretch 10. and there are mostly 9 and 10 stretches in "bella's lullaby". anytime i play piano, my left hand tends to ache. haha.
but it's great, i love that song. it's sad but sweet. you know?
love, jennifer

Dear, December

dear december,
did you know you are my second favorite? nothing will ever beat november! like nothing will ever beat taylor swift! :D. it makes me happy just thinking about her music. ahh, but there i go, wandering off into the unspokenish again. my apologies!
christmas is the biggest part of december i think. that and maybe new year's eve but nobody really cares about new year's eve to new year's itself. but that's okay, you're main attraction is xmas, xmas, xmas!
if you ever get a chance, i would like to know if you were the one who picked the whole red and green theme for christmas. and the silver and gold. it's getting a little cliché. but that's okay, the christmas tree idea is still great. i like decorating trees >.<, although we haven't taken down our christmas tree since i was maybe 8? since we liked keeping it up. haha. tradition, much? :).
and you can't resist the snow. honestly, it's one of the best parts. except, this wonderful coffee city, holds off the snow 1 out of 3 christmases. whatever happened to "i'm dreaming of a snow-white christmas" or "walking in a winter wonderland"? or just a white christmas at all? at least we get snow, at all. like... once in a few years... haha. it's not that scarce yet.
mmm, this is what you get for not having more snow during your main holiday: sometimes i still write 'november' on my paper instead of 'december'. because november is still better. ish.
love, love, and love again,
jennifer
