November

november, we will miss you. or at least i will miss you!

okay so november isn't that big, holiday-wise. but for elementary kids, you have early dismissals for a week and a half and there is also thanksgiving in the united states (canada has thanksgiving on october 18). and sure, a lot of people say thanksgiving isn't that big or great since it's just like... whoo, you give thanks - but hey, i think it's awesome. i love november. thanksgiving is an interesting holiday!
and plus there is my birthday. what's not to love? and it's in autumn, and all the leaves are pretty. well by my birthday, the end of november, the leaves are all gone but there are still some at the beginning of november which you will absolutely need to see next year.
but yes i get very excited during november. oh, the only downside is middle school doesn't have early dismissals. i would like to skip health/fitness but not home arts... haha :). so i'll skip health/fitness and math, please? with a cherry.
if you don't like november i will be very mad at you. for five seconds. here i will be mad for five seconds at all the people who do not love november like i do.
5...*rumbles*
4...*erupts*
3...*explodes*
2...*bam bam bam*
1...*calm*
what? what explosion? something erupted?! wow, how did i miss that? no, i was just sitting on my invisible bleachers watching yimfliptz's basketball game and cheering for him and quietly eating my jenny beans. nope, didn't notice any blow out.
i bet it was bigger than expected mt. rainier's, though! :D.
okay a little sidetracked. just a tad! :).
but really. november is great. and after this, i will have to blog about december because i think, you know, just maybe... i have favorite months, o.O, zohhmg!
okay i really, really need to stop eating all that sugar and watching stuff on the food network about making home made gooey marshamllows. >.see ya november in 335 days!
love love love, jennifer

Happy Birthday!

13!

Happy Birthday, Jennifer!

13 at 11:29pm! the doctor that was there when i was born gave away little ceramic shoes that a baby's foot could really fit into, if it were a real shoe and not ceramic, that is. =P. haha anyway, on that shoe it was color coordinated, like a girl got pink and a boy got blue, and then on the bottom it would say your full name, what time you were born, your length and your weight. cool, right?! hahaha, i bet YOU wish YOU could have one!
yes, i'm just so accidentally awesome, thank you very much.
presents, presents, and more presents - especially because of black friday! it's great, i love how everything goes on sale! unfortunately since people did buy a lot of stuff it ended at 1pm and didn't go on for the weekend. but that's okay i got all the great deals 'cause that's just the jenny style, :D!
i'm happy. it's been a great day, was out a lot then came back and talked to a bunch of friends for a long time, too. and then, haha, i remember i still need to blog. i mean, it would suck if i went through the whole day and the whole year and missed blogging on my birthday! but fortunately, i didn't, :).
i'm still happy! i've been happy all day. today's been great. but all i really want to say is... thank you, to my friends, for making it one of the best birthday's ever.
oh and to my parents for getting me a cake.
13 in 1 hour, 20 minutes. happy birthday, jennifer!
i love you all. thank you!

Happy Thanksgiving!

hey everybody! happy thanksgiving!

i was thinking of how to start this for a few hours and just decided to start before i missed thanksgiving altogether! remind me, please, that i need to post a "november" post before november ends!
so guess what? the average american consumes 4,500 calories on thanksgiving. that's almost twice the amount you should get per day! also, i read gravy is ground up animal liver. o.O, it still tastes good. and the reason why some vegetarians don't eat skittles is because skittles contain gelatin and some gelatin are made of ground up animal bones. now a lot of gelatin is made of vegetables. haha!
but this isn't really supposed to be a "gross you out on thanksgiving" post. but psst, you are what you eat! :).
i'm excited. you know, i was in the car last night and i just figured something out: maybe "bad things" happen around thanksgiving is because it's here to remind you to be thankful all the time. even if you don't feel like it. even if you think it's crap and you shouldn't and nothing will help. i know, why be thankful when you're miserable?
i'm not going to tell you. i'm going to let you figure it out. you'll find the answer.
that's just the magic of thanksgiving.

Friends

i liked the "inspirational picture book" (amazon review) friends to the end: the true value of friendship because it's cute and funny and it has a great meaning to it. title self explanatory. it has a bunch of really sweet pictures of animals illustrating a sentence per page. it's short but really great. i have a notebook called wear sunscreen: a primer for real life which is just like the friends to the end book, with a sentence running across the bottom of each page of the notebook. both are really good, i think sometime if i find the notebook i'll copy down each line and post it on the blog! if i can get my hands on the friends to the end book - which shouldn't be hard because i know where i can get it - i'll post that too.
but anyway, this post isn't really about those two books or mainly the friends to the end book. i just started this like that because it just came to my mind. in context, when i clicked "new post", it was because two really good friends commented on two different posts through email that i want to share with you other people, o.O. fyi, i have a setting on miscellaneous heartbreak that sends a copy of my posts the moment i click "publish post" to the people whose email addresses i entered. this way, they know when i blogged a new post and can read it without actually going to my site. which is handy, since they all check their email. :).
so! here goes...
alex commented on autumn: wow i thot u'd blog about it was sooner, and like talk* about all the pretty colors :D. lol, and if u wait 365 days it'll be too late again!!! XD lol
vivian commented on olive garden: omg u sound like a commercial* i don't like italian that much. too much cheese
wow i thot u'd blog about it was sooner, and like tlak about all the pretty colors :D. lol, and if u wait 365 days it'll be too late again!!! XD lol
i put these two in because this fact was apparently unknown to my small brain until he pointed it out, and haha, they were very pretty colors except they're all gone now, and - it made me smile when i read her email and found out i sounded like a commercial!
that's all for now. oh! it's like everybody knows when my birthday is now! don't ask why, because i don't know either! but it's not a bad thing, really! :), sweet dreams everybody, to my friends: i'll visit you in your dreams, and especially for alex and vivian: i will leave a chocolate on your pillow!
oops, did i forget to say, an invisible chocolate? :).

*originally typos, corrected by me: tlak and commericial

Ajax! Austin

maybe not a banana monkey god from greek mythology, but did you know ajax is a greek god from greek mythology? heck, that's a lot of "greek"'s. :).
sweet dreams from jennifer!

Olive Garden

the olive garden is a great place. terrific restaurant. yummy food! the decorations in that place - well the one i went to anyway - are really cool and all italian like, since well, they do serve italian food! i did tell you i love italian food, right? olive garden rating by jennifer: ★★★★★!
i really wanted to order one of those chocolate gelatos or italian strawberry cheesecakes or a shirley temple, but when you order, you say, for example: "steak gonzales alfredo" and then say, "would you like soup or salad with that?" and then you say "salad", or in my case, "soup". then they ask what kind of soup you want, if you picked soup, and i said, "minestrone". which, fyi, is pronounced min-eh-stroen-e. something like that, XD! not mine-stroen. pssh, i would know >.<. but anyway - the soups are very filling. i didn't even finish my main dish! i had like... zero bites out of it. okay, maybe two. or three. at most, ten. there was a lot of cheese in that fettuccine. the steak was really good though. it was medium well. yay? i don't know why i just told you that, haha :).
that's pretty much it as the olive garden goes. let me repeat: fantastic place! they don't take really long to cook their food and the servers are really nice.
so go try it out! it's amazingish. amazing as restaurants go!
oh, but the price! the prices are really high. everything was around $15 for one dish but it was good. so i guess it was worth it.
you hear me? it was worth it! so go for lunch or dinner sometime! order lasagna and a shirley temple and one of those italian strawberry cheesecakes and have a taste of italy!
ish. see, the problem is? this isn't italy. :)!

Sunday

hmm, i don't think i ever mentioned i wanted a santa hat for my birthday? ah ha! but i do. wait, haha, i mean i did!
thank you eggplant! i got my santa hat today, from her! i love best friends! hehe i said that yesterday too. oh, and eggplant is just our nickname for her. or peanut's nickname for her. o.O, inside joke, and now you probably think we're crazy, which i will take as a compliment!
practiced, practiced, practiced for the thanksgiving meeting today. i'm not sure we're ready. for one, if you look at tiffany, she will start laughing. which is bad, because if i look at her during the performance on thursday, she will start laughing and mess up and will miss a couple of measures. O_o... don't look at tiffany jennifer. don't laugh, tiffany!
nobody's really taking this seriously, though. they will however, take it seriously the moment we have to perform, which might mess me up which might be even worse since i have to keep the beat, etc, etc, etc. but i'm probably over exaggerating, probably nothing will go wrong!
hopefully. :)
the first annual youtube live started yesterday! it was... interesting, and i only watched for less than five minutes, haha. it was okay. i just watched for nigahiga, kevjumba, and happyslip, but since i only watched for five minutes, i didn't see any of them! but that's okay, i don't care too much, haha XD.
the american music awards (ama's) are on tonight 8/7c! which means 8pm pst, and 7pm central. if you didn't know, which i'd hope you knew!... i'm going to watch it if i get done with my homework (next paragraph), but if not, i'm just going to have my friend call me when taylor swift comes on! :)
homework... so little math for the weekend! just three problems so everybody finished them in class. it might be a mistake since there was a substitute even though he was pretty cool. he was 77. XD. but then, to ruin it all, i have a language arts project that i really don't want to do... honestly, their packets bore me.
but that's it! olive garden blogging next!

Some Birthday Conversations

and more birthday info... it's in 5 days! i am very excited, thank you very much! i think almost everybody knows when my birthday is because every time i get onto messenger or something like that people go "happy early birthday!" as my best friend was saying tonight - i mean last night, haha -
her: happy almost birthday! i got you something today, i almost didn't know what to get!
me: what is it?
her: can't tell you! it starts with a t...
me: ooh a t!
her: ...for thing!
me: -.-.
and my other friend said on friday -
her: what do you want for your birthday? i want to get you something.
me: i don't know!
her: hmm.
(here she goes into this conversation where she'd give me her iPod touch and get herself a new one except they cost a bunch.)
her: if you could have a gift card to any store, what would it be?
me: american eagle!
(this is where i think 'duh!' american eagle is my favorite store ever! and my best friends love it too!)
and etcetera! it goes on and on, but i really can't stay awake any longer to share anymore...
i crave sleep.
i crave chocolate even more.
mind you, i only crave sleep now.
good night!

More on Music, Oh, and Etc.

so, my favorite, favorite singer, taylor swift, released her second album fearless november 11th. i love that album more than her self-titled one because i love all the songs on fearless and only 12 of the 13 on her self-titled one. ah ha, big difference! but i love taylor and her music, everything about her is so sweet. i listen to her all the time!
twilight
the two songs that are always playing in my mind right now are "valentine's day" by linkin park, and "crush" by david archuleta. i love them both and i'm taking a break from taylor for a little to play those nonstop. :)
thanksgiving! am playing for the JY (junior youth), really nervous. i think i'm probably going to play something else or if not, mess up a bunch of times. which may or may not be worse, depending how i mess up. you know, i could glitch and play twinkle, twinkle, little star then back to here i am to worship then back again. back and forth, back and forth. ahh! i'm scaring myself!
the book that's captivated teen girls all over the world has become the movie that's captivating teen girls all over the world since twilight the movie came out november 21. but do i really need to be telling you all this? you probably already know! :). if i work out all the kinks, i should be watching it november 28, my birthday, or the sunday after that. either way, with friends, it makes the whole experience ten times better. or more! i love my friends! <3!
speaking of my birthday... see the next post!

Saturday

had the best time today. i don't think i've laughed that hard since june - or ever. i was honestly laughing so hard i was almost crying, i had that much fun. it was great.
so i have some news which i'll post near the end, no wait, next post. let me just tell you about my day, even though it probably doesn't sound that interesting. you just had to be there to have fun and laugh everything in you out.
i woke up at 8am (because my brain thinks i still have school even though it also knows i don't, so it has me wake up two hours later >.<), was going to get up, then fell asleep and my dad woke me up at 10:15am, had me eat breakfast (a banana! o.O) and then i left 45 minutes later, and spent an hour at the olive garden (i'll blog more on that tomorrow if i have time) and then at 1pm went and played mini-golf for an hour. after that, i watched kung fu panda - did i ever say i never wanted to watch that movie? well, it's good. it's not really that funny but in some parts it is. so watch it! it's better than cars but then i think one's from dreamworks and the other's from pixar so that might be a difference? - and played a bunch of wii for two hours, had lasagna and then played another hour before i went home. it was so fun. i laughed so hard! :)
and i know i already said that, so don't mention it. haha :).

Autumn

fall. falling. fell. autumn.

yes, so i know it started on the 22nd of september... almost two months ago. i wonder why i've never blogged an autumn post, but i didn't and so i am now. i did, however, blog a saying goodbye to summer post put up in september. a little before autumn started. and then it started and i didn't pay attention, not so much this year.
i like this season. i love how the leaves change color. it's magic. it's like you don't know how it happens - it just does. and you take advantage of it, the color, the prettiness. it's gorgeous especially when the sun's about to set and it goes through the leaves. but you don't notice. no, you just groan when the wind blows and you have to go rake up the "mess" again. again. again. again. it happens every year, and you don't care.
until now. i'm serious - go look outside. pull away the curtain or pull down the blind and peek. one little peek. it's mostly gone. you missed it. but there's still just one leaf clinging on, waiting for you. so look. enjoy it. take a picture of it. remember it. it's only going to happen once a year. you'll have to wait another 365 days or so to see it again. love it. it's beautiful.
it's autumn.

Sometimes

sometimes you're happy. sometimes you're sad. sometimes you wake up and you've slept through the whole morning and you're sad because you missed the sunrise. sometimes you stay up so late you fall asleep at the keyboard doing your homework. sometimes you feel like an idiot for forgetting something you told yourself to bring a million times. sometimes you make a stupid mistake on a test. sometimes you pick the one day to write in ink that you made a huge mistake on and can't fix it now. sometimes you rip out all your pages of work and they fly to the ground making a mess everywhere. sometimes you slap yourself in the head for not realizing a cord wasn't plugged in, which was why the radio wasn't on. sometimes you swing your hand back and hit the snooze button and the radio starts playing really loud at 1am. sometimes you turn around so fast you hit someone and feel embarrassed for doing it. sometimes you forget all your pencils. sometimes you forget all your homework. sometimes you write a bunch of stuff you want to keep only to have it erased because you didn't save it. sometimes you sit still so long your feet freeze and you can't remember how to get up. sometimes you're ecstatic over a crunch bar. sometimes you run outside and dance in the rain. sometimes you try on a pair of jeans from five years ago just for the heck of it. sometimes you put your hair up, sometimes you leave it down. sometimes you're so happy to see the snow you bury your face in it and feel stupid after that because you have a smile actually frozen on your face. sometimes you cry because your ice cream dropped onto the ground. sometimes you smile at a little kid whose ice cream dropped onto the ground. sometimes you gossip. sometimes you spread rumors. sometimes you're the center of everything, sometimes you're not. sometimes you walk out the door without shoes. sometimes you leave your instrument at school. sometimes you leave your shoes at school. sometimes you forget your clothes at school. sometimes you get somewhere an hour early because daylight savings time ended and you forgot to set your clock back. sometimes you stay up all night talking to a friend. sometimes you text/IM/blog so much your fingers hurt and cramp. sometimes you get mad at someone. sometimes someone gets mad at you. sometimes you cry because of someone. sometimes you fall asleep with tears drying on your face. sometimes you don't sleep well because you're cold. sometimes you love the rain. sometimes you hate it.
sometimes you're happy. sometimes you're sad. sometimes you wake up and you've slept through the whole morning and you're sad because you missed the sunrise. but remember that there'll be someone tomorrow to make you laugh. there'll also be someone who will make you so sad you forget how to smile. but whatever you do, know that there's always tomorrow's sunrise.

Vote Today

i've always been with mccain since it was just between the two. i've always thought obama was some... ahh, i won't say. but either way, either pick goes down in major history. the kind you hate while the social studies teacher goes on and on and you fall asleep. but, this is big. with mccain - palin will be the first female vice president ever. with obama - he will be the first african american president ever. it's big, and i'm freaking nervous.
me: "dad, if obama wins can we move to like, england or something?"
if obama wins, it means God let him win. some people think obama's the messiah which is seriously messed up. MESSED UP, OKAY?
why would anybody want a gay marriage and abortion/partial-birth abortion supporter as their president for four years?
thomas: "either way, they both die." haha. obama will get assasinated and mccain will die of old age, supposedly. someone was actually arrested for saying they wanted to kill obama. i don't remember where or who, but i heard it.
mccain/palin 08... they must win.
it's a miracle of mccain wins california. it's a miracle i want really badly. he has texas, but what he really needs is calif, ny, and texas. beautiful miracle.
please, please, please. i'm so nervous. have to have a mini crunch bar, thank you daniel.
see the thing on abortion, the teen makes the decision. they make it, they follow through with it. if obama wins, it's basically like, "oh i'm 16, i'm just going to get pregnant then abort the baby if i get pregnant. and then repeat the cycle." what the??! it's not right.
person i don't want to name: "if you don't support gay marriages, well you're going to hell." again, what the??! that's so contradictory. anybody who's not a Christian goes to hell, period. God does not like gay marriages, He made man and woman for each other. gay marriages... uggh.
check your msn, aol, yahoo web pages every hour, then every half hour at 9pm, then every 10-15 minutes at 10pm pst. voting in the eastern zones closed.

Goodnight

i'm done with the project, haha, yay. i'm so tired. it's raining outside again. and... yeah, the project doesn't look too bad. wax paper is impossible i never recommend using it, haha. use small scissors, and both elmer's glue and glue sticks. use a color printer, be creative. yeah that's about it.
so tired... i have a huge mess to clean up, *slides down blade of hand knife*, hehe. and my ring finger on my right hand is sort of sticky. there is paper everywhere, all cut up. the scissors were lying open but i just closed them. i sealed the glue. most of the little scraps are in one area =P. and yeah... there is this long scrap of aluminum foil dangling out of my froggy trash can. :)
sweet dreams!

Found It!

it was in the pencil cup!

Where's My Pencil?

help! i can't find it! i can't trace a flimsy notebook paper hershey's kiss with a pen! i can't erase with a pen! *screams*
did i mention, this is due tomorrow?

Project Chocolate

my personal name for it, :).
in health/fitness... oh, and btw, it's different from p.e., because in p.e., you don't get homework, and health/fitness is required for one semester unless in 9th grade, which if you skip then, you take it full year in high school. anyway... our first big project - *waits for imaginary applause to die down* - is 101 WAYS TO A HEALTHY LIFESTYLE. you pick an interest/hobby, to "personalize" your project. i love cookies and baking and etc. mine? 101 CHOCOLATE CHIPS TO A HEALTHY LIFESTYLE. heck yeah, it's cool =P.
so here i go... i have my sharpies, pens, other writing utensils, huge sharp scissors (XD), elmer's glue (what kind of name is elmer's...??!) - ooh may i mention, it's school glue? i know! awesome right??! haha. -, aluminum foil (yes, really), wax paper (even more yes really!), and two sheets of this huge year calendar you get at 99 ranch (hehe) for free ('cause my parents would never buy a big gigantic poster-paper calendar at 99 ranch, or any place, unless it's free, then they're not buying it, they're just taking it!).
what i'm going to do? i have ten - really eleven, for the 101th way to a healthy lifestyle i mean chocolate chip - categories, so that equals ten hershey kisses! yay, i'm happy too! and then the wax paper is like, that paper thing inside the wrapping over the chocolate that reads hershey's or kiss or something like that. the valentine ones get even more detailed, ahha.
i need a finer-point sharpiee! arrgh! i don't know how to get the typing text onto the wax paper for the flying thing... ugh.
the two sheets of calendar get pasted together with the white facing out and the calendar part glued shut so you can't see it! smart, right? we use that stuff for covering up the window on our door during halloween. nobody comes to our house anymore, unless they go... "hey! why aren't they opening the door? i see a light!" but haha.
i glue the stuff all on the calendars, yay. and the title is the easiest, i just print that. the problem is, the calendar is sturdy but glossy, so very glossy. the kind of glossy it's hard to write on because it doesn't dry and just smudges. but that's okay! i'll work it out.
back to the project, will keep you posted...
you know... it's kind of hard to do this when the only opinion i get is from my 10-year-old brother, who hardly pays attention. he's like, "that's a pear. see the stem?" i'm like, "uhh... stupid, no. does it even resemble a chocolate AT ALL?" he says, "add more color." and then i try the aluminum foil and he goes, "ooh, yes." -.-... little kids...
i'm the kind of girl who if she messes up, fixes it. by throwing it away and starting again. haha just kiddin, sometimes i do, but i usually make do 'cause i'm smart like that.
next post... example of my hershey's chocolate kiss? i wish i could actually eat a kiss right now.

The Best Thing About Music

the best thing about music... hmm, this made me think. i love music, i listen to music every day - haha, meaning i listen to taylor swift everyday! - and i dance to it and sing to it. i fall asleep to it. i listen to it for hours until the music player freezes 'cause it's low on battery. in theory, music... is my life!
believe it or not, i actually like country. i almost love country music. i love taylor swift and her music, and in a sense, she sings country. and i listen to her all the time. ooh, and fyi - her new album fearless is coming out november 11! <3
music kind of makes you fall into it and just float while it's playing. in particular, taylor's single fearless (from the new album, if you didn't notice XD) makes me happy. i listen to it when i'm mad. i love singing to it. i love dancing to it. i love listening to it so late that none of the other songs work because the battery is almost dead, and then i turn it off and go to sleep. it plays in my dreams.
music is always there for you. i like listening to more peaceful, sweet, calm music rather than rock, but i do listen to rock. linkin park is the best, and maroon5, skillet... is music racist? sexist? sometimes, but not all the time. you choose what you listen to. you hate it, you block it out. you put your hands over your ears and scream when you hate the lyrics, the beat, the song in general. you turn it up so loud that the neighbor runs over complaining when you love it.
i'm listening to fearless right now. i'm smiling, i love the song so much.
you hide your mp3 or iPod in your jeans pocket, and then the headphones under your hood and nobody ever sees it, but they can hear the faint music playing because you have it up so loud. they don't know who it's from, and they don't know the song, but they dance to it anyway.
see... you take your faded pair of jeans, a hood, your iPod, and the rain and put them all together, and you get... magic.
try it, you'll see i'm serious.
and yes, i do sing in the shower.

Rain

it's coming down so hard against the window. you know what's cool? looking out of a window through the glass with the rain falling so fast it's just covered the entire pane with water sliding down it. it makes everything clear and wet and it's actually, beautiful.

misting, slowly spreading across the lawn
i watch as it shimmers down
leaving a mark on the window
wet
rain

it's not a great poem, but it's okay. i almost didn't post it because i didn't like it so much. you'll see better, though, on rain and cookies and candy and jeans. on summer, autumn, winter, rolling around to spring.
go dancing in the rain with me?

10 Secrets on Your Handwriting

so guess what i found on msn! it's pretty cool, and semi-accurate, =P. have fun decoding what you're telling your friends - or enemies - when you send a sweet message - or a death threat!

Be warned, though: Graphology is too complex to be boiled down into universal nuggets. So, take these with a grain of salt (and don't break out your prison flip-flops just yet).

1. Are your Us and Ws rounded on their bottoms? You're sensitive and maybe poetic.
2. Do you cross your Ts in the middle or at the top? The lower you cross your T, the less ambition you have.
3. Do you loop your Cs at the top? Then, to quote Carly Simon, you're so vain.
4. Are your As and Os tightly closed? Perhaps you're hiding something.
5. Do your letters slant every which way? If so, then yikes. Only 10 percent of the general population has a wobbly slant--compared with 70 to 80 percent of convicted felons.
6. Do you have the "felon's claw"? It's another hallmark of the criminal, and it occurs when you bring a letter straight down, then attach a claw-shaped curve to its end--say when you're writing the lowercase y.
7. Is your signature different from your regular handwriting? Then perhaps you're putting on an act.
8. Do the connecting swoops between your letters droop? Maybe you have a martyr complex, and are carrying the weight of the world on your shoulders.
9. Is your handwriting spiky and angular? Relax. There's no need to be so tense.
10. Are your letters a bit squatty? If they're biggest in the middle zone, and don't extend much up or below the baseline, then you're perhaps a bit childish. The Disney logo, based on Walt Disney's handwriting, is a good example of this.
